Irinjalakudalive.com deserves all the appreciation for identifying the
hidden danger near the bus
stand. As I am an employee of
oil and gas Industry, I really
got shocked by seeing this news.
But our local administrators
seem not interested in taking
any safety measures. Probably
they are not aware of the degree
of danger. A fire triangle
consists of FUEL, OXYGEN and
HEAT (or ignition source). Now,
as far as this particular
location is concerned, all the
three are present and it is just
waiting for an opportunity to
get ignited.
This area is always populated
until late hours. Even after
identifying this danger, if the
community is not taking any
safety measures, they will be
made responsible in case of any
accident.
There is no wonder why our
administrators have no time to
look in to it because they are
all the time busy in
inaugurating something and for
them it is an opportunity to
wear new dress and poses for the
cameras.
We Indians are like that. The
value of our life is only when
the election comes. I always
wish there should be some kinds
of election all the time, at
least some people will smile at
you.
This is a terrific ignorance and
immediate action to be taken to
avoid any fatal accident
This petrol pump is not only a
threat but a nuisance also for
traffic. Some of the heavy
vehicles fill fuel during peak
hours thus making a traffic jam.
We are never bothered about how
others are affected with our
action; we have to some how get
our job done though it is
trouble some to others.
If this danger is not eliminated
from this location, an accident
is definitely going to come our
way, for sure. Dear local
authority, please open your eyes
and see the danger. May be one
of your close relative or friend
is going to be killed here and
you will be responsible for
that. If you are really
committed to the society, you
can make a difference. |

With ref. to the above subject
of modern development of
Irinjalakuda town, following are
my recommendations.
1) For any development,
Municipality required income.
Municipality incomes are
building tax, entertainment tax,
revenue or rent from the various
municipal buildings,
collection from the sales of
Irinjalakuda market etc.
To increase the municipal
income, please find below few
points.
a) Try to bring back the
business to the market thus
utilize the municipal market
area busy hence to generate more
income. Thus to reduce the rush
at main road, Tana, bus stand
etc.
b) Acquire the narrow junctions
and road side in order to make
wider roads and bell mouth
junction. Construct shops at
bell mouth and rent it for more
revenue.
c) Boost tourism in town/ get
approval to build for Private or
Govt. professional educational
institutions and attract
floating population in our town
thus to have more business in
the town.
2) Only our major roads are
having concrete drainage system/
proper cleaning/ cutting grass
and bushes. This has to spread
all over the town by
mechanization instead of human
labor.
3) Install a modern waste
disposal plant thus to have
better waste collection system
and this will make a clean and
hygiene roads in our town.
4) Elect ward councilors who are
more efficient, educated,
sincere and helping to the
public instead of looking their
political supporting parties.
5) Make proper Master plan for
the town development with the
help of an expert town planners
and try to implement without
looking the individual benefits.
6) Renovate Shanmugham cannel
and start water transport from
our town to major cities via
Arabian Sea. This also will
boost tourism as well a new
image to our town.
7) Educate our public to have
greenery in front of their house
or their road side to beautify
our road sides and also make our
roads echo friendly environment
system .

stop.
at chanthakunnu a signal light
needs for traffic controls.
inside market no vehicles to be
entry. this makes traffic jam in
the market roads. and union

when the market going on wedsday
and saturday. for some days a
police needs here.
near by roads of ijk repair and
collect the maximum road
facility for future without
traffic jam.
ijk will become like a thrissur
city. joy alukkas, kalyan silks,
etc needs ijk because limited
stop not easy for aged.
to give license only for the
banners and cutouters for the
period only.
flex boards and banners are not
the people of ijk. those who
work for ijk are the lovers of
ijk
openings and inaugural functions
should be got the licence from
ijk muncipality. and it be an
organistion in ijk. if enquiry
about it muncipality show the
license.
no people cheated in ijk. for
this muncipality have
information centre here. this by
educated people those who not
employed.telephonic facility
have in ijk. this information
telephonic information centre.

home town IJK. We must
understand that East India
Company builds very strong roads
before they began to rule India.
The real and first development
of every country will start by
building roads. So to the
chairperson of IJK we badly need
some good infrastructure in IJK
and first step is to build good
roads.
1) Bypass from Tana to bus stand
to be completed.
2) Need one bypass from St
Joseph college to bus stand to
be build through colony.
3) Please put signals or widened
the roads in chathakunnu etc.
I hope Mrs. Soniya Giri will
change this town to be one of
the best municipalities in
Kerala.

(1) Irinjalakuda need all the
roads with solid Footpath on
both sides and clearly lined and
speed limit should written and
kept rules for this.Parking
Ticket with a charge for
vehicles and Parking Areas
should be fixed between Tana and
Bus Stand in peak hours (means
in the city). Also speed limit
should be written maximum of 50
KM and Police should watch
around the clock. In Chanda
Kunnu, Tana, Market and
Kakkathuruthy Junction, Municpal
Office and Bus Stand Police Out
post should be fixed and 2-3
Teams of Police vehicle should
be patrolled around the city for
24 hours. Where there are more
than 200 people gathered for any
reason, Police should know
before in hand and be present
there. Present Bus Stand should
be reconstructed with extending
the area of north side land and
keep Buses away from the Crowd
and Que system with Barricade
fixed for climbing into each
Buses. Reversing Buses in the
Bus Stand allowed.A Traffic
Police Station should be in Both
Tana and Bus stand. Municpality
or private people could
construct a big Shopping Center
like a tower or as Tall building
all in one roof with lift(with
Private Security Guards) like in
Gulf Countries with small and
big shops including Super
Markets,Fitness Club, Private
Doctors, Restaurants, 3-5 cinema
houses with Underground
Parking facility, may be up to
10 Floors either or both near to
Bus Stand and Tana. Mini Trains
and Mini Town Buses could be
operated from here.This will be
an income for the Municipality.
There is a Train Station called
Irinjalakuda, unfortunately this
went to Kallettumkara. For the
memory of this A mini Train
could be run around the
Irinjalakuda Starting from
Muncipality and touching all the
interesting places of
Irinjalakdua! An entertainment
Park for all ages with
Acquarium,Museum, Restuarants,
swimming pools could be
interdouced from Private Sector.
Also An old Aeroplane or
Helicopter and an old Train
could be bought and fixed for
show in this Park also show
products of ISRO and Deffence
Service of India where visitors
could see inside.
MINI Bus Service like town buses
should be interdouced to travel
around (Bus Stand to Pulloor and
back, to Maparanam and back,
Civil Station and Back,
Nadavaramaba and back).
A Garden with big Park (can be
added as Amusement Park) should
be in ChandaKunnu Area.
As IJK is a peaceful residential
town for all, variety of
facilities could be invited with
Private Capital. |

the stand and shift the same to

at east side of IJK. There is
some empty space i.e. without
many buildings, at opposit side
(south east side of main road)
of Marina Hospital. Which is
very easily accessible to
Market. This is an ideal place
for a second bus stand. This
will reduce the crowd of the
present bus stand. |

problem.
Try to build a new Bus Stand at
any of the new locations:
1) Change the old court to new
bus stand or
2) Shift Ayyankavu Maidan to
some other good location and use

This will also solve the long
issues of Tana / Nada and
Chettiparambu shop owners. |

7. Make similar type of waste
management system available /
started at Kodungallur
Municipality.
8. Limit the Lorrys / trucks to
enter city during peak hours,
especially school hours.
9. Implement effcive potable /
drinking water system.
10. Build effective sewage
network and sewage treatment
plants.
11. Install effective lighting
system in the city area.
12. Remove all liqor shops from
the heart of the city to outside
city (especially away from Bus
stand area).
13. upgrade Taluk Hospital to
Medical college standard.
14. Upgrade Ayurvedic hospital
to higher standard.
15. Remove all unsafe buildings
in the city area.
16. Implement Health Checks in
all hotels / shops for hygeine.
17. Disintegrate big shops from
Tana / Busstand area to Cheloor
Road, Chungam Road, Kombara,
Pullur, Kauungachira area (spead
the city).
18. Connect IJK with all other
cities with high standard
buses. Say LS buses between
Ernakulam and Thrissur /
Palakkad (KSRTC for safer travel
of passengers).
19. Start a diary development
plant (KSE would be a source for
this).
20. Start a highly effective
plantation system for mango /
jack froot and other village
type trees in all areas (to go
back to our old days).
21. Implement measures to
re-start agricultural
cultivation in all paddyfields,
under the guidance of Mannuthy
Agricultural University to
become a self sufficient
Municipality.
22. Must implement a vegetable
farming system for all home, if
you have 5 cent, bust have 1
cent for agricultural farming,
if 10 cent, 2 cent must be
dedicated for vegetable farming
and 10 chicens, if 20 cent and
above, must have a goat too, 25
and above must have a cow too.
This can eradicate all shortage
of vegetables and meat within 2
months. If not followed, no
ration should be issued.
